Tired tile sellers enjoyed the November Stella Pier Show in NYC!

Very weary and bleary eyed we have returned from the Pier show.  It was a truly spectacular fall weekend. The weather was sunny and  60's and the booth displays and the crowds? WOW!

The November Pier Show, always a place to see and be seen, once again didn't disappoint.  Everyone was there.  Babies in strollers, adults with walkers and canes, sizes 000 to +++,  6 foot beauties and toddling munchkins and every possible personal style and/or fashion taste....pink tights,  a boa, 40's house dress, army fatigues, brocade, tulle, spangles, sparkles, beads......and all that just on one customer!  Merchandise  brought from all over the country and the world, and of course, our antique tiles.

At 9:59 am our tile booth was chocked full of panels, sets, transfer printed, Art Nouveau, souvenir and majolica tiles.  The cases were crammed with hand painted Minton Art Pottery Studio tiles, rare scenic series tiles, 8" polychrome tiles, German Art Nouveau majolica tiles, Low Aesthetic movement tiles, dogs, cows, birds, a donkey, two flamingos and a partridge in a pear tree tiles...oops, not really the pear tree.

Customers select tiles at Pier Show.
Wrapping paper, bags, pens, receipt books and calculators and we were ready for our customers, and our wonderful customers didn't disappoint.  Within 15 minutes, the time it takes to negotiate the line and walk the aisle down to the booth we were slammed.  At  3:15  we grabbed a customer/friend to help "mind the booth" and alternated  hasty but desperately needed breaks.

It was a joy to meet new customers, see returning friends, and catch up on all that had happened since the March Pier.  Thanks to you all we had a fun, exhausting, yet profitable weekend!
